The Omega reference 105.012 is, in addition to the very first Speedmaster CK2915, the timepiece with the strongest historical importance among all Speedmaster references - both Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin wore this model during the Apollo XI mission on July 20, 1969.
Reference 105.012 was introduced in 1963 as successor of reference 105.002 and was the first Speedmaster featuring the distinctive asymmetric case and the lyra lugs. With the 105.012 Omega launched a true masterpiece of technical and creative know-how, in a novel Huguenin Freres (HF) case with integrated crown protection, twisted lugs and short, wide chronograph pushers.
This Speedmaster features a gently patinated, stepped dial with caramel-coloured luminous indexes, hands with olive-green luminous material and an applied metal "Omega" logo. The bezel is slightly faded but is still in magnificent condition, as is the well cared-for case.
