The Patek Philippe Calatrava Reference 96 was in production for over 40 years (1932-1973), a testament to its incredible success and popularity. Throughout that time, there were countless variations of this model with different case materials, dials and hands.
This example, made in the early 1950s, has an attractive design with applied faceted pink gold indexes and pink gold alpha hands, and a slightly darkened silvered dial. The outer "perlé" minute ring is also of supreme quality, and the case shows traces of gold oxide.
