According to Martin Huber’s "Lange Liste" (Lange list) this watch was submitted to special testing at the Leipzig observatory and the naval observatory in Hamburg. It was part of a series of circa 1,000 timepieces tested at the Leipzig observatory from 1883 to 1905; in the records, however, only about half of them were marked as "tested".
