Brockbank, Atkins & Moore was the successor of Brockbank & Atkins, one of the most important chronometer makers in London in the late 18th and the 19th century. In 1885 Brockbank & Atkins formed a partnership with renowned watchmaker George John Moore (1838-1916), a son of George Moore and the son-in-law of Charles Frodsham. When Moore left the company in 1898, the name was changed back to Brockbank & Atkins.
