Matthew Dutton Jnr., son of Matthew Dutton, is recorded in London from 1799 on and in 1815 with the Clockmakers Company. His grandfather William Dutton apprenticed from 1738 on with George Graham. He became a member of the Clockmakers Company in 1746. From 1759 on he worked as a partner of Thomas Mudge.
