A rare vintage wrist chronograph with 30 min. counter

This beautiful vintage piece is in excellent condition with some gentle signs of age; the dial is more or less immaculate with a central white chronograph hand and slightly patinated, pistachio-coloured luminous material in the hands and Arabic hour markers. With the slim bezel and the boldly slanted lugs the 36 mm case appears much larger on the wrist than it actually is.

Military watches were part of the Junghans company in Schramberg’s production range and after the war the company developed their own calibre J 88 with 19 jewels. The J 88 calibre is a beautiful, gilt movement with rack wheel, Breguet hairspring, screw balance and shock protection.
