Outer case coated with ray skin, covered with decoration studs. Inner case - silver, gilt brass and copper, bezel and back side with sound holes, rear bell.

Silver, Champlevé style, engraved and chased centre.
Movement
Full plate movement, keywind, chain/fusee, florally pierced and engraved barrel for striking train, locking plate, applied blued iron click work, 1 hammer, plain three-arm steel balance.

Balthasar Favre, also known as Balthazar Faure, was born around 1662. He was trained by Pierre Angely from around 1680 to 1683. At the age of 21, he moved to Constantinople. In 1689 he settled in Basel and moved to Geneva in 1701.
