L. Leroy was appointed official watch- and clockmaker to the Admiralty in 1835 and held this prestigious title longer than any other business in the industry. The company produced over 2,200 chronometers of all types for precision timekeeping at sea and supplied more than 30 royal, imperial and national museums as well as many merchant and military fleets all over the world.
