To the best of our knowledge, Vacheron & Constantin produced two ultra-complicated watches and only four at all with alarm function between the end of the 19th century and the end of the 1st quarter of the 20th century.
This marvellous timepiece is certainly of museum quality. Looking at it one would expect a striking mechanism with chronograph. However, the lateral slide winds the alarm mechanism.
