<br>Die rechteckige Dose mit abgerundeten Ecken, besitzt auf dem scharnierten Deckel eine Emailplakette mit hochfeiner Miniaturmalerei in leuchtenden Farben, inmitten einer punzierten Goldbordüre. Dargestellt ist die Königin Semiramis, während sie die Nachricht vom Babylonischen Aufstand erhält. Der Boden ist im Zentrum guillochiert und mit Ranken am Rand aufwändig verziert. Mit gleichem geometrischen Muster sind die Seiten dekoriert, die abgeschrägten Ecken mit floralem Dekor.

<br>The hinged lid of the square box with rounded corners is decorated with an enamel plaque within a chased gold border showing an exquisitely painted colourful miniature of Queen Semiramis hearing of the insurrection at Babylon. Sides and floor are ornamented with geometric guilloche pattern and translucent light and cobalt blue and opaque black enamel. The floor panel is ornamented by a central guilloche pattern and tendrils around the edges. The sides are decorated with identical geometric patterns, the chamfered corners are adorned with floral ornaments.
