Patek Philippe lauched the new Gondolo reference 5200 at Baselworld in 2013. The rectangular shape reminiscent of the Art Deco style in combination with a magnificent 8-day manual wind mechanism embodies the perfect meld of traditional design with cutting-edge technology.
The name of the "Gondolo 8 Days" refers to the 8-day power reserve; the model also features a pointer date set around the small second and a large window displaying the day of the week. The novel calibre was developed specially for this reference and possesses two successive barrels with a total power reserve of 192 hours, i.e., 8 days. The movement is also fitted with a Spiromax balance spring and a Pulsomax escapement.
