In the last 50 years Audemars Piguet launched over 500 Royal Oak models, without ever changing the typical design with the octagonal bezel and the eight conspicuous hexagonal screws. On the occasion of their 50th year anniversary, Audemars Piguet introduced a series of new models, among them this 37 mm model. The Royal Oak Automatic Features is powered by an automatic calibre 5900 with an exposed "50" anniversary oscillating weight of 22 K white gold and has a tapering bracelet. The minutes are printed directly on the dial; The applied indexes and the Royal Oak hands are white gold with a coat of luminous material. There is also a new electro-plated Audemars Piguet logo at 12 o’clock. The case features satin-finished areas contrasting with polished sections, which created the most attractive light effects.
