The sides and front of this small small travel clock are decorated with exquisitely painted porcelain panels. The sides show two young ladies as personifications of Spring with a bouquet of flowers and Summer with ears of corn. The oblong dial is painted with a riverscape scene and signed "Lecomte" in the lower left corner.
Four Tuscan columns are positioned diagonally in the corners frame the case, which is decorated with four ornamental knobs on top and a rosette frieze all round. A concave top section with bevelled glass sections reveals the fine cylinder escapement completes the structure.
