Super Rallygraf Mario Andretti

A rare vintage "Rally" chronograph with tachy bezel and 24-hour counter

This exclusive Yema Rallye Chronograph dating from the 1970s is in excellent condition. The model gained fame when former US American race driver Mario Andretti wore it for his win of the Indianapolis 500 race. The three-colour dial is reminiscent of the cockpit in a racing car and features in addition to the small seconds two subsidiary dials for the 30-minute and 12-hour counters. The 12-hour counter features the extra numerals 15, 18, 21 und 24, which was very expedient for the 24 hour Indy 500. Due to its popularity the Rallygraf model was reissued several times, one of these reissues is even available today.
This vintage timepiece is in unpolished condition with crispy edges and engraving on the case back. The beautiful dial is immaculate and the luminous mass of the indexes has acquired an exhilarant green hue – the watch is a dream piece for any lover of rare vintage chronographs.
