A very rare vintage wrist chronograph, second execution with applied steel indexes and lume dots, dauphine hands with steel edges and luminous material and bidirectional rotating bezel calibrated for sixty minutes

The Heuer Autavia with a black dial and light-coloured auxiliary dials was produced during the 1960s and 1970s. The shape of the case as well as the dials were updated occasionally. This model was launched in 1967 and features the second screw back case and the second dial version. Its main features are the smaller registers, the applied steel indexes and luminous dots for the hours, and the fully luminous steel-rimmed dauphin hands.
The present timepiece is original in all parts and is very rarely offered in this original condition. The luminous material of the hands has taken on a beautiful eucalyptus green patina, the central chronograph hand a warm champagne tone. Only the bezel and the lug horns have some honest signs of ageing and some luminous dots are missing.
