Watch and clockmaker Albert Koch, born in 1880, was a native of Horn-Bad Meinberg in Lippe. He attended the German watch and clock making school in Glashütte from May 1st, 1899 to April 30, 1900. In addition to a micrometer (no. 1215) and a pocket watch with lever escapement (no. 1228), he created this astronomical seconds pendulum clock no. 1259. As a master watch- and clockmaker, he later opened a watch and clock shop in Seesen in the Harz region.
