An elegant vintage Geneva wristwatch with auxiliary seconds

This watch is in superb original condition with crispy edges and still has the original Patek Philippe crown with the letters "PP" embossed on the side. Parts of the gold case have taken on a beautiful honey-coloured patina, showing that the watch has hardly been worn in recent years. The silvered dial has not been restored in any way and has nicely aged to a cream colour. The black enamel letters and the auxiliary second indexes are still raised.
Reference 2584 was produced in a very short period from 1957 to 1960. The total production is estimated at less than 500 pieces. To our knowledge, 360 examples were made in yellow gold, of which about 50 are known to exist on the market, 80 examples in red gold and only a dozen examples in white gold. This rare reference is one of the few with an automatic movement and a push back instead of a screw back.
The present timepiece is perhaps one of the earliest examples of this reference and a must for collectors of beautiful Patek Philippe vintage watches.
