A slide to stop the repeater is on the edge of the case and two furthermore slides under the bezel to control the striking train.

Frédéric Louis de la Reussille came from a distinguished family of watchmakers in Tramelan. He was born on 3 March 1783. In addition to being a watchmaker, Frédéric Louis was also governor of the prefect, president of the vice-court and judge of the district court. He died on 1 December 1848 in Tramelan at the age of 65.
