The 911 GT3 wrist chronograph, certified as a chronometer, was presented in 2020 and was available exclusively for owners of the new Porsche 911 GT3. The design of the watch is based on the sports car. The case is made of titanium, a metal with low weight but high resistance, which is why titanium is also used in motorsport. For example, the connecting rods in the engine of the Porsche 911 GT3 are also made of titanium.
The dial is easy to read thanks to its high-contrast accents. At 12 o'clock is the 30-minute counter, at 6 o'clock the 12-hour counter and at 4 o'clock the date. In addition, Porsche Design integrates the small seconds as a rotating disc at 9 o'clock. Thanks to the transparent sapphire crystal case back, an unrestricted view of the chronometer-certified automatic movement is possible, the rotor of which is modelled on the design of the Porsche 911 GT3 wheels.
