This timepiece impresses with its characteristic numerals 3, 6 and 9, which are coated with a blue Chromalight material that remains luminous for a very long time, as are the indexes and luminous Mercedes hands.
The watch still has the original bezel protector.

The simple dial, the luminous indexes, the Arabic numerals and the "Mercedes" hands lend a particularly elegant appearance to this Rolex Explorer watch; in addition to this, the contrast of the luminous material with the black dial make the watch very easy to read. Inspired by the explorations of Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay, the case is fitted with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a water-proof, screwed-down crown, protecting the movement from large differences in altitudes or extreme weather conditions and making this timepiece a perfect companion for any kind of travel.
