Jörgen Jürgensen (1748-1811) was the father of the renowned watchmaker Urban Juergensen; he started a watchmaking factory in Kopenhagen in 1775 and went into partnership with Isaac Larpent in 1780. From then on the company operated under the name "Larpent & Juergensen" in Roskilde.
