As the engravings on the inner lid and on the inside of the gold dome tell us, this beautiful hunting case pocket watch with five-minute repeater was held in high esteem over a long period of time. It was in the family for over 100 years and was passed down through five generations to male descendants who all had the same name: Francis Allen Macomber. The only exception was Francis Selden Macomber. The first entry dates from 1885, the last from 1988.
