The "GROSSE ARKADE" model was launched in 2002, reference 812.043 was introduced in 2004.
Shape and name of the "ARKADE" were inspired by the arcades of the city palace in Dresden, which have similarly shaped arches. This lady's watch was first produced in 1994 and is one of the models - as is the Lange 1 - that Lange & Soehne presented on the occasion of the company’s spectacular revival. The most distinguishing feature of the watch is its generous date indicator, which is considerably larger and more clearly readable than the displays commonly used until then.
The arched movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back and reveals not only the legendary ¾ plate with the Glashuette stripes but also the hand-engraved balance cock.
The "ARKADE" comes in the gold variants yellow, pink and white gold and in platinum. This example is made of 18 K white gold. A total of 48 baguette-cut Top Wesselton diamonds totalling 3.25 carats set the bezel and the horns of the lugs. The dial is made of delicate pink iridescent mother-of-pearl, the quarters are set with baguette-cut diamonds indexes - all in all, this is a marvellous piece of jewellery and at the same time a fine collector’s object for any distinguished A. Lange & Soehne connoisseur.
