Production of reference 2483 started in 1950 until the mid 1950s. The models were available with auxiliary seconds or centre seconds.
The dial of this timepiece is of highest elegance; it is pink gilt with faceted applied pink gold hour indexes and has an outer perlé minute track. The finely cut alpha hands and the seconds hand are made of pink gold as well. With a diameter of 32 mm, the case is relatively small by today's standards, but its large, polished bezel and wide lugs give it a very contemporary look.
For collectors of fine timepieces, the dealer's signature "Freccero" is an additional treat for this already rare watch.
Francisco J. Freccero was a respected dealer of Patek Philippe watches and founded the Freccero jewellery store in 1868 in Montevideo at a young age together with Oscar Spangenberg. To this day the business is in the hands of members of the family.
The present watch is described and illustrated in: J. Michael Mehltretter "Armbanduhren, Technik, Funktion und Bewertung", 2nd corrected edition, Stuttgart 2022, p. 164f.
