<br>Anders als die renommierten anti-magnetischen Uhren, wie die Rolex Milgauss oder die IWC Ingenieur, ist die Patek Philippe Referenz 3420 eher zurückhaltend elegant und auf den ersten Blick unauffällig. Das 18 kt Goldgehäuse besitzt ein gewölbtes Acrylglas, die Oberfläche ist poliert. Die Lunette ist so schmal und unauffällig und vermittelt den Eindruck, als ob man das zart schimmernde Zifferblatt direkt am Handgelenk tragen würde. <br>Die Referenz 3420 wurde erstmals 1959 hergestellt, ausgestattet mit dem Kaliber 12-400. Nur einige wenige Exemplare davon waren antimagnetisch. 1960 kam dann das antimagnetische Kaliber 27AM-400 auf den Markt, ausgestattet mit einer Ankerhemmung aus Berylliumbronze.

The 18 K gold case is fitted with an acrylic dome and the surface is polished. The bezel is slim and low-key enough to give the impression that the delicately shimmering dial sits directly on the wrist.<br>Reference 3420 was first produced in 1959 and fitted with calibre 12-400. Only a few of those were anti-magnetic. In 1960 the anti-magnetic calibre 27AM-400 was launched with a lever escapement made from beryllium bronze.
