Reference 3563 was introduced in the market in 1969; production continued until about 1985. Patek Philippe launched the new self-winding movement calibre 350 and combined it with an integrated gold bracelet in the taste of the early 1970s. The position of the crown was moved to the back of the case, making it equally popular with right- and left-handers.
The present watch is described and illustrated in: J. Michael Mehltretter "Die Noblen aus der Schweiz", Ulm 2006, p. 160f, ill. p. 154 and in J. Michael Mehltretter "Armbanduhren, Technik, Funktion und Bewertung", 2nd corrected edition, Stuttgart 2022, p. 204.
