The financial function is an addition to the world time function. It tells us when some of the world's stock exchanges are open for business. To show this, time-slots are featured opposite the appropriate city. A pointer on the hour ring moves in an anti-clockwise direction. When it is opposite one of the time-slots, that particular stock exchange is open. However, Girard-Perregaux does not guarantee that opening hours will be respected.
