This beautiful Renaissance-style table clock was made in Augsburg, Southern Germany; the design of the case is subtle and minimalist. It has four horizontally oval-shaped windows and engraved floral decor of the front dial, they are the only visible ornamentation.
A long blued central hand shows the minutes and the hours.
According to Jürgen Abeler's records, Christoph Müller, also Miller, was born in Augsburg in 1620. He is listed as an independent clockmaker from 1643. He died after 1651. Numerous works by Müller are known, including a lion automaton clock.
