Thomas Mann soll einige Kapitel seines Romans "Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull" in der Villa des Sektfabrikanten geschrieben haben. Die Kellerei soll Vorlage für seinen Roman gewesen sein, in dem Felix Krull in den Haushalt eines Schaumweinfabrikanten hinein geboren wurde und von hier aus seine Hochstaplereien startete.

Thomas Mann is said to have written some chapters of his novel "Confessions of Felix Krull the Impostor" in the villa of Matheus Müller. The winery is said to have been the model for his novel, in which Felix Krull's father had owned a sparkling wine factory on the Rhine.
