This regulator, which was most likely made in Vienna, is probably a unique piece that was made for a master craftsman's examination. The most striking features are the very technical design of the three steel supports and the unusual rope guide of the weight winding mechanism via four small pulleys, two of which are located in the wooden base, whereby the rope runs from the movement downwards and from there in a large triangle to the pulley at the top of the regulator. With its extremely reduced appearance in favour of technical presentation, this is a speciality for lovers of 19th century precision watchmaking.
