The Calatrava is certainly one of Patek Philippe's most famous models and has its origins in the early 1930s. Reference 3796 was presented to the public in 1982 and replaced its predecessor, reference 96. Initially available in yellow gold, the model was also offered in platinum and white gold three years later. Production of the reference 3796 was discontinued in 1999.

The design of this Calatrava model is unique and very beautiful. It features an 18 K white gold case and a rose gold winding crown with a frosted ivory-coloured dial with excitingly contrasting rose gold dauphine hands and faceted rose gold baton indexes. The calibre 215 is hand-wound, bears the Geneva seal and is equipped with a Gyromax balance - an extremely elegant, perfect companion that is a joy to behold every day.
