Inspired by Rolex's successful Daydate model, this Tudor timepiece also has a weekday display and a date window. The case has a diameter of 37 millimetres and is thus larger than Rolex's standard Daydate of the time, which measured 36 mm, which is why the present calendar model also became known as the "Jumbo" model. Unlike the Daydates in the Rolex range, which are made exclusively in precious metals, the Tudor version reference 7017/0 is offered exclusively in steel.
This Day + Date model has a beautiful silver-plated dial whose shimmering sunburst pattern really comes into its own in the light. Three-part bar-shaped indexes with black accents and charmingly aged cream-coloured luminous dots give the watch a fantastic vintage look. The case is very well preserved, the lugs were re-polished, and the smooth bezel contrasts beautifully with the matt finish of the rest of the case and the bracelet with its folded links and Tudor clasp.
