Breitling launched the Chrono-Matic in 1969 as one of the first automatic chronograph movements ever; it had an original, distinctive look that was typical for the 1970s.
The Chrono-Matic possesses a tachy and a pulsation scale on the dial and a date window with red date at 6 o’clock. The chronograph registers are centrally placed on a silver-plated transverse oval and stand out clearly against the black dial. Together with the neon-orange luminous hands, they form a wonderfully attractive, lively contrast.
