<br>Moyse Gevril (Moÿse - Gevrille) war der Sohn von Jacques Gevril und wurde in 1749 in Le Locle geboren und war wohnhaft in Crêt Vaillant bei Le Locle. Er wurde im Jahre 1784 Meister-Uhrmacher und fertigte Taschenuhren mit automatischem Aufzug mittels einem Schwinggewicht. Er lieferte Uhren an namhafte Uhrenfirmen in ganz Europa, wie in diesem Fall an F. Sestien in Heidelberg. Moyse gründete die Firma Moyse Gevril & Fils und verstarb um 1791.

He lived in Crêt Vaillant near Le Locle and became a master watchmaker in 1784; Gevril created pocket watches with an automatic winding mechanism by an oscillating weight and sold them to jewellers and watchmakers all around Europe like in this case to F. Sestien in Heidelberg. Moyse Gevril founded the company Moyse Gevril & Fils and died around 1791.
