According to the inventory of Josef M. Stadl "Münchner Uhrmacher aus fünf Jahrnunderten" (Munich watch and clockmakers from five centuries), Philipp Jacob Puitner worked from 1769 to 1802. Two of his works, a carriage clock and a pendulum clock, are in the Munich City Museum. Two other carriage clocks are illustrated and described in "Die Kutschenuhr" by Lukas Stolberg, Munich1993, fig. 95 and 110.
