Patek Philippe launched the "Aquanaut" in 1997 and its young and modern design was considered a novelty on the market. Inspired by the Nautilus, the case is shaped like a rounded octagon. The "tropical" strap with Aquanaut deployant clasp matches the sporty look of this timepiece and is made of a composite material ultra-resistant to salt water and UV radiation. The sapphire glass back reveals the precious selfwinding movement calibre 324SC, with its intricately engine-turned gold rotor and the Geneva seal.
