This classic Rolex watch with red Daytona lettering has a white dial with applied indexes. The distinctive features of the watch’s face are the three steel-framed auxiliary dials for small seconds and 30-minute and 12-hour counters. Its steel bezel features an engraved tachymeter scale for computing speed such as the average speed per hour. This steel Daytona came by its nickname "APH-Dial" because of the distinct gap in the word COSMOGR APH; today it is a highly coveted collector’s item, because only a very small number of this model were produced over a short production run.
