<br>Die beiden Meisterstücke - ein Chronograph mit 30-Minutenzähler und eine flache, schön dekorierte Frackuhr - präsentieren sich hier in bestem Zustand und legen heute noch Zeugnis ab vom Können des 1911 geborenen Ernest Roths. Von 1927 bis 1933 war er Schüler des Technicums in la Chaux-de-Fonds, das er mit der Note 5,4 von erreichbaren 6 verließ, wie es das originale Zeugnisbüchlein ausweist. 1937 nahm er am Chronometerwettbewerb des Observatoriums in Neuchâtel teil, wo er für sein Bordchronometer einen 2. Preis erhielt.

<br>The two masterpieces - a chronograph with a 30-minute counter and a flat, beautifully decorated dress watch - are presented here in top condition and still bear witness today to the skills of Ernest Roth, who was born in 1911. From 1927 to 1933, he was a student at the Technicum in la Chaux-de-Fonds, from which he graduated with a grade of 5.4 out of a possible 6, as the original certificate booklet shows. In 1937, he participated in the chronometer competition of the Observatory in Neuchâtel, where he was awarded 2nd prize for his deck chronometer.
