From the production of Patek Philippe, only about 50 pocket chronometers with spring detent escapement are known, some of which are owned by the Geneva Patek Museum itself, and are therefore only extremely rarely available on the market. This watch, which is in excellent condition, was - fine-tuned by master regulator J. Golay-Audemars - entered for the chronometer competition of the Observatoire de Genève in 1905 and thus belongs to an even more select group of these chronometers, which are listed in the ChronoHype magazine No. 2. There, Christian Pfeiffer-Belli has created a detailed overview of these exceptional collectibles.
