The present watch is notable for its extraordinary condition - the case has never seen polishing in its lifetime and all hallmarks remain crisp and visible
Already an incredibly rare model, the timepiece is even more remarkable due to its state of preservation. With the advent of the Royal Oak Anniversary in 2022, "Jubilee" pieces will only become more and more collectible over time, representing another milestone moment in the storied history of the Royal Oak model.

On occasion of the 20th anniversary of the top-selling ROYAL OAK Ref. 5402, Audemars Piguet launched a limited special edition in 1992 and called it "Royal Oak Jumbo Jubilee". Only 1,000 pieces worldwide came on the market – an automatic version of Gerald Genta’s famous, classic timepiece with the screwed-in octagonal bezel. 700 of them were steel versions, 280 came as 18 K yellow gold examples and 20 were made in platinum with a 21 K yellow gold skeleton winding rotor engraved with the serial number.
