Zenith
A highly attractive vintage wristwatch in practically new condition, with chronograph, 45 min. counter and tachy scale
The warm rose gold case of this noble wristwatch chronograph has a more elegant appeal than the "cooler" steel cases that were commonly used for chronographs at the time. The lively silver shimmering dial with the rose gold accents forms a noble contrast to the chronograph hands made of blued steel.
The timepiece is fitted with calibre 146, which corresponds to Universal Genève's calibre 285 and was produced by the Martel Watch company. Martel Watch was acquired by Zenith in 1960. This movement must have been made shortly before the takeover, because it bears both Zenith's own calibre number 146 and Universal Genève's calibre number 285.
The case is in very good overall condition with crispy edges. The colour of the case is slightly darkened by rare gold oxide and shows a beautiful warm gold tone.
