The design of the Memomatic, model of 1970 stood for two world premieres in the field of alarm wristwatches; it was the first rotor self-wind system with only one barrel driving both the movement and the alarm. It was also the first alarm wristwatch where an alarm could be set to the minute by a central rotating alarm disc.
This Memomatic model was launched in 1971. It features a heavy, tonneau-shaped gold case with concealed lugs, a two-tone dial with a chocolate-brown centre, and a dazzling gold-plated hour ring with applied baton indexes and tritium dots. The timepiece has some minor, age-appropriate signs of wear but is in an overall very attractive original condition.
