HeuerMilitary Chronograph
An extremely rare vintage military chronograph with "tropical dial"
This charismatic predecessor to the Heuer "Carrera", has a dial that has changed its colour from black to an iridescent cognac colour. Despite its charming ageing, the dial looks simply stunning in combination with the cool steel case. It has two sub-dials for small seconds and a 30-minute counter at the 3 o'clock position. The sub-dials have silver-coloured baton hands and are recessed, adding vibrancy to the unrestored cognac-coloured dial. It further features an outer fifth of a second graduation, luminous Arabic numerals and alpha luminous hands, which allow for good legibility.
The steel case has a bevelled bezel and two round chronograph pushers that make the timepiece appear larger. It is powered by a Landeron 13 movement, often found in early Heuer military watches.
