In 1969 Breitling introduced the die Chrono-Matic, which was one of the first automatic chronographs and had a very distinctive appearance. The Chrono-Matic possesses a combined hour and minute indication on the bidirectional revolving black bezel, a tachy scale on the dial and a date window with a red date disc at 6 o’clock. The black subsidiary dials and black baton indexes stand out nicely against the matt-finished silvered dial and the neon-orange hands are an attractive eyecatcher.
