In October 2006, Ebel launched the 1911 BTR, which was an updated version of the legendary hexagonal 1911 range. Ebel introduced this fully mechanical and particularly masculine watch with a new extended 45 mm size; it is powered by the proprietary automatic Ebel calibre 240, where the rotor in the shape of an architect’s compass oscillates over the compass-like plate; the beauty of the movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal back. The attractive dial with hand date display and outer 24-hour ring is dominated by the oversize small second subsidiary dial with inverted "Clous de Paris" décor.
