Jaeger-LeCoultre launched the Duomètre à Chronographe in 2007 – an engineering marvel with a "dual wing" tandem winding system featuring two independent barrels, where one safeguards the running of hours and minutes while the other operates the chronograph. The beautiful manual wind movement is revealed by the sapphire crystal back. Another masterpiece is the interesting layout of the regulator dial: Time is displayed on the subsidiary dial on the left, the chronograph with 12-hour and 60-minute counters with integrated, digital minute disc sits on the right. A small subsidiary dial at 6 o’clock displays the jumping second in steps of 1/6 of a second; the two power reserve indications sit on each side of it. The dial is fitted with a total of nine independent hands of blued steel and gold.
