Ralph Gout (circa 1770-1836) was a native of Switzerland who lived and worked in London; he was known as a skilled maker and had his workshop at 6, Norman Street, Old Street in London. He was bankrupt in 1796 but managed to get his business back up and going. He produced many timepieces and also pedometers for the Spanish market as well as the Indian market.
