Die Conquest wurde im Jahre 1954 auf den Markt gebracht und zählt heutzutage zu den legendärsten Vintage Modellen der Uhrenmanufaktur Longines. Vorliegendes Exemplar hat ein goldenes Zifferblatt mit gebürsteter Oberfläche und einen aufgesetzten, facettierten Goldring, der die Stundenmarker miteinander verbindet und dank der kleinen abgeschrägten Dreiecke eine Spiegelung erzeugt. Das robuste 18Kt Gold Gehäuse hat einen verschraubten Boden, in dessen Mitte sich ein blaues Emailmedaillon mit goldenen Sternen und Meereswellen befindet. Als eines der frühen Modelle wird der vorliegende Zeitmesser vom Longines-Kaliber 19AS angetrieben, einem der ersten Automatikwerke des Unternehmens. Eine gut erhaltene Longines Conquest in Gold aus den 1950er Jahren in einem derart guten Zustand, wie das vorliegende Exemplar, ist nicht leicht zu finden und erfreut jeden Liebhaber seltener und außergewöhnlicher Vintage Uhren.

The Conquest was launched in 1954 and is today considered one of the most famous and breathtaking vintage Longines models. This timepiece has a brushed gold dial with an applied, bevelled gold ring which connects the hour markers and – due to the small, canted triangular markers - creates a kind of reflection. The robust 18K gold case has a screwed-on back with a central blue enamel medallion with gold stars and sea waves. As this is one of the early models, it is fitted with Longines calibre 19AS, one of the first automatic movements of the brand. A well-preserved gold Longines Conquest dating from the 1950 in such excellent condition is a rare find and a joy for any lover of unique, legendary vintage timepieces.
