An elegant automatic vintage wristwatch - sold to Siegfried Heindorf, Berlin on January 19, 1957 - with IWC extract from the archives
Case: 18k gold, push back. Dial: silvered.
The timepiece fitted with automatic calibre 852 – which was also used for the legendary IWC "Ingenieur" – was considered an exciting novelty when it was launched and usually regarded the most robust watch ever. The company strategy intended to keep the wristwatch always state-of-the-art.
Moreover, this example is exceptionally well-preserved and beautiful with its gently aged, almost champagne-coloured dial.
