Case: gilt, glazed push back. Dial: black.
The special 24-hour division on the dial became popular in the 1960s when long-distance flights became more and more frequent – the dial enabled the pilots to visually track the hours during the day and relate to the reference time used in international air traffic from all over the world.
The Guinand company was founded in 1865 in Les Brenets in the Canton of Neuchâtel. In the 1990 the brand was taken over by Helmut Sinn in Frankfurt, a pioneer in the development of aviation watches.
